Ming the Helpless & Hughes the Hapless

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Ming the Merciless just turned into Ming the Helpless and he put in a floundering performance at PMQs. He gave the PM an open goal to score and score it he duly did. "I knew it was going to be one of those days," said Ming. On this performance there are going to be some very a few more of those. I wonder if Mr Nicholas Clegg might be slowly reconsidering his decision not to stand. Surely he is more capable of putting a spring in the step of the LibDem rabble than Ming the Helpless?

UPDATE: And Simon Hughes faired even worse at the hands of our merciless PM who absolutely stuffed him. Mark Oaten must be grinning like a cheshire cat - and having just turned on the TV, I can confirm that he's manfully trying to hide it. Not very well.

Bring back Chuckles Kennedy - at least he could take Blair on at PMQs - after all, you can always tell when TB likes someone (William Hague for example) because he doesn't have the heart to be rude to them in the House.

Personally I think the questions were about on a par - both need to raise their games IMHO.
