Silence from the Norfolk Blogger

My old sparring partner Norfolk Blogger is getting his knickers in a right old twist HERE. He says...
I wonder what Iain Dale and others would have been saying if THIS story about a
tax exile Lord flouting rules meaning that tax exiles cannot fund UK political
parties, had been Lib Dem or Labour ?

Well, I would be saying that the noble Lord should get his affairs in orders PDQ, just as I do about Lord Laidlaw. Now let's put the boot on the other foot, shall we, and see if Norfolk Blogger can take it, as well as dish it out...
I wonder what Norfolk Blogger and others would have been saying if THIS story about a Council Leader signing a BNP candidate's nomination paper had involved a Tory rather than a LibDem?

He'd have been crowing about it from the rooftops. Instead, there is the sound of tumbleweed on his blog. Shhhhhhh.

Ah but as if You give publicity to Tory cock-ups and the like, Iain.

You've certainly ignored plenty of polls which don't put the Tory lead quite so favourably, while simultaneously shouting from the rooftops when they Are favourable.

Everyone on the Blogosphere does it, you included. There is no shame whatsoever in Norfolk Blogger doing the same, and it only shows your own bias when you reprimand him for it...

Iain, it has been 45 minutes since you posted. Hardly time cook a meal, let alone grow tumble weed.

Read my Blog Iain !

ooooo, he is getting a bit stressed isnt he?

Obviously an indication he checks urs quite regularly though!!

Oooh, shocker. Political blogger with declared party allegiance plays down bad news about own party, whilst playing up bad news about other parties.

Everyone does it, and I don't think there's much wrong with it, unless you start berating other people for doing the same.

Surely the balance in the blogosphere comes from the fact that, because there are commentators of all persuasions, everything gets covered somewhere, at least?

Bham Uni CF, I check Iain's blog regularly. He knows that, and he reads mine too. Checks out our blogrolls.

Oh, puuuhhleease, don't let us get into this blogwar nonsense again - it is tres tres dull. No blogger can be expected to comment on everything, and the BBC serves our fair, balanced and impartial needs well enough.

A few more shouting matches like this and you will wake up Chris '3 posts in a row' Paul, and then you will be regretting it..

I think Iain is just trying to bounce back after his drubbing over Ken put his finger in the Dyke. Septicisle hit a raw nerve, ouch!

Iain,

Why do you bother "sparring" with lightweights like Norfolk Blogger?

Like most teachers, he obviously has too much time off at the taxpayer's expense.

I see that most of his supporters on this commentary don't even pay tax.

40% bloke -

I may not be paying income tax, but I am paying £1,200 a year for an education which the generation above got for free. Plus £3,000 or so a year in student loan, where the generation above got maintenance grants.

I presume you were young and in full-time education once, too? And you were entitled to have opinions back then, right?

What I cannot stand about Liberals is the way you know what they are going to say about six months before they begin their shtick . Its like a walk in um...Norfolk. I can see the end whats the point in going there.
As for Norfolk Blogger his connection with Iain is the only thing that is interesting about him, and he knows it . Hang on in there Norfy.
. Why in nanyb case would you bother arguing with a Party that believes every position between racist nationalism and outright Socilism .

Its more like a Franschise than Party.

Mac Dums ?

The reason for these posts is that Norfolk Blogger always claims he is "fair" and "open minded" ... before going on to bash any Tory he can find and ignore LibDem failings. Shouldn't a fair blogger report on both? Truth is he isn't fair or open minded but a typical LibDem.

Newmania, it's so difficult to read any of your posts that I've given up trying.

Anon, you've obviously never taken a look at (Tory) Kevin Davis' blog - he's the worst I've ever seen (and he has a dodgy line on climate change)

You're right...

I was young once (a very long time ago) and had the benefit of a relatively free university education....courtesy of a Conservative Government - and an "old style" Labour Government just before them.

It helped me get into a job that paid rather well.

My last tax bill was the thick end of a quarter of a mill.

I just wish that more of it went into funding the education of bright young sparks like you and "leo"...and less into funding Tony's delusional war in Iraq.

I can't help but feeling that your perception is wasted on the Lib Dems. It's time you thought about getting involved with the David Cameron take on the Conservative Party.

How can you tell if a Lib Dem lies.

Easy, he opens his mouth

Someone I don’t know used to read my posts and now doesn’t. Shame because if he were to make the effort he would discover that by critiquing my spelling , ( I assume ) , he has announced himself to be a fatuous nit with nothing but jejune chat room twitter to add. Its doubly a pity because , anon, I was going to make my sentences nice and simple.
Starting now with the following example.

“Anon you are a tedious prat“.

What a shame you will not appreciate its elegant truth . I have many more and should you ever feel brave enough to have an identity we can share the experience of reading them together..

They didn't get it for free, some poor sod had to fund it.

Re the Lord - I suppose this is another case of "cash for honours" but at least the Lord sensibly wanted to see the party he supported getting the dosh...

If you are offshore and in the process of selling your company for almost 800m squids, you are hardly going to relocate yourself into the realm of Grabber Gordon before that tax exposure is out of range.

Maybe a bad choice of Lord, but who would volunteer to hand over tens of millions to that thieving scrote?

What's a Tory MP doing (with NuLab connivnace)trying to restrict access to the minute details of his Parliamentary expenses? Is Tory sleaze trying to raise its head again? We've had enough from NuLAb but it hasn't erased the memories of the old Tory sleaze hyped up as it may have been by NuLAb.
